Daily Homework & Expectations

• Read (15 to 20 minutes) 20 days a month

• Practice Spelling List for 5 minutes (comes home Monday, to be tested Friday)

• Read the poem to another person at least 4 times before Thursday.  The listener should sign the poem each time their child reads the poem and return the poem to school on Thursday.

• Poem Questions: If there is more than one line provided for an answer a complete sentence is expected. The child is expected to rephrase the question in their answer. Students should be using a capital letter and end mark. Words that are in the question or poem should be spelled correctly. They should also have appropriate spacing between words.
